As a student, I am sure you all must have joined academic clubs/societies in your colleges.
The most common question that I get from my students is that when there is an interview, how to reflect the KPIs?
How do you showcase that your efforts in those clubs/societies were worthy enough to teach you something and were valuable?
How can you showcase that even after taking up new things, you can keep the club’s essence intact?
The three most important things for any student/candidate are networking, corporate exposure, and peer learning/teamwork.
So, you might have achieved all these things via your clubs/societies but how do you show the outcome and impact on you?
Remember, to use quantifiable data. Quantity and numbers work like magic.
Here are some examples:
– Hosted 8+ candid interviews with CXOs of multinationals like JP Morgan, Citi Group, Mahindra, Deloitte, TCS, Microsoft, etc.
– Celebrated LinkedIn engagement rate from April to May to be 7% which is much higher as compared to the industry average engagement rate i.e., 2%.
– Raised funds and sponsors up to 30k while creating an avenue where the team members and alumni can interact with each other and also with industry leaders.
– Conducted an online strategic corporate event – engaged 100+ employees and facilitated a great ice-breaking session
Using these methods, you can showcase your achievements with numbers and I think, that is beyond amazing.
Also, in this way you cover all the three important aspects for students.
Try to showcase your positive feedbacks from everyone as well.
Hope this helps all the students!
