If placements toll you, what should you do?

As a student, placement season can take a toll on you at times.

Tons of companies coming in, long interviews waiting for queues, lots of rejection, and so on.

Therefore, your mental health might get affected to a great extent.

You need to take care of yourself especially during such crucial times.

What can you do to improve your mental health?

1) Talk about your feelings:
– If you feel low due to rejections or any other reason, talk about it to your close ones.
– Talk about it to your college mates as well. They will relate to your situation.

2) Exercise:
– It boosts your energy and helps you concentrate better.

3) Eat well:
– Since you have to put in a lot of physical energy as well, it’s important to have nutritious meals.
– Avoid alcohol during this time.

4) Ask for help:
– It’s okay, you are not superhuman. You can be vulnerable.
– If you need anything, just ask someone.

5) Take a break:
– Do not engage with companies and interviews back to back.
– Give yourself appropriate time in between to rest.

6) Accept yourself:
– It’s okay if you couldn’t clear a few interviews.
– Always feel good about yourself and forgive yourself for every rejection.
– It’s not your fault.

7) Seek guidance and counseling:
– Talk to a life coach, mentor, or counselor to help you out.

8) Care for others:
– You never know who needs help right now.
– Keep asking others about their mental state.
– This can also bring you a sense of happiness.

Hope this helps.
